Lynda Stites will officially join the SNAP team on July 1 as Volunteer Program Manager.
Diane Tooroian will join us August 1 as Administrative Assistant.
Both bring unique experience and energy to the positions, along with a strong commitment to their communities and to volunteerism:
- Lynda Stites, trained in paralegal administration, has experience in nonprofit administration and training, mentoring teens and leading Training Retreats in Kansas City. For the past five years Lynda has provided volunteer administrative support for the Tu Nidito nonprofit organization, working in development, volunteer services and event planning. Lynda also has chaired the Human Rights Committee for the Arizona Department of Economic Security Department of Developmental Disabilities, District South since 2014. A Tucson native, Lynda is an avid tennis player and hiker in addition to her volunteering passions.
- Diane Tooroian has worked with the Pima County Health Department in office administration and also has experience with 911 call dispatching with Pima County Sheriff’s Department. She is an artist, a volunteer caregiver in her community, and has planned and implemented special safety programs, including fire and accident prevention. In addition, Diane assisted Public Health Nursing in partnership with Tucson Fire Department in developing a fall prevention program for seniors in her community. Diane fosters with Southern Arizona Humane Society and is an accomplished stained glass artist and potter.
