You may choose to give a gift of stock. SNAP accepts donations of ordinary, publicly-traded stocks. Donating appreciated stock that you have held for at least one year may be a very good tax decision. Generally speaking, you may be able to receive the full market value charitable deduction, while avoiding a capital gain, as allowed by law. Always consult with your tax advisor to determine how a gift of stock would affect you and call the SNAP office at 520-437-9556 to schedule an appointment with our Donor Specialist.
- OTHER IN-KIND DONATIONS AND SPECIAL EVENT DONATIONS OR SPONSORSHIPS
SNAP relies on local businesses and organizations to help offset operational costs, as well as assist with special events and programs for our clients, their caregivers and families. Annual events include the Health and Wellness Fair and the Home—Garden & Treasures Tour. Special projects include the Tortuga Trail Revitalization, Caregiver Support, educational programs and social events. Donations of merchandise or services for these events and programs are always welcome!
Planned gifts such as bequests are a simple and thoughtful way to provide for SNAP’s future. We all want to be remembered by those we leave behind, with appreciation for the lives we lived, respect for our accomplishments and gratitude for the contributions made to those whose lives we touched. SNAP wants to become part of your legacy and be considered in your estate plan to express your appreciation for the free neighbor-helping-neighbor services we provide. Please consider adding (to your will, living trust or estate plan) a simple provision designating SNAP as a beneficiary of a specific dollar amount or percentage of what remains of your estate after you take care of family members and others to whom you want to leave tangible remembrances. If you wish to complete a legacy gift statement of Intent, please click here for the form: SNAP Legacy Gift Form. To discuss including SNAP in your will or estate plan, please call the office at 520-437-9556 and request an appointment with our Donor Specialist.
- MEMORIAL GIFTS
Memorial gifts to SNAP may be given to remember a loved one, friend or a neighbor. Families may specify a memorial gift to the Sunrise Neighborhood Assistance Program in lieu of flowers in a local or distant obituary. Again, please call our office at 520-437-9556 for information.
- GIFTS OF TIME AND TALENT
In addition to supporting SNAP financially, many people enjoy investing their time and expertise in our organization as a volunteer. SNAP offers a variety of volunteer opportunities from directly helping or transporting our clients, to working on programs or committees and other special events. You may call the office to request a Volunteer application or download one under the Volunteer Information portion of this website.
As the need for our caring and social services grow, the need for financial assistance grows too and becomes even more vital. Each and every tax-deductible gift makes it possible to meet the increasing demands of our aging population. With your help SNAP can remain at the heart of the community and provide programs and services to those who need them most. We so appreciate your support and generosity. You are always welcome to call our office at 520-437-9556 to discuss the special ways you would like to support Sunrise Neighborhood Assistance Program.
